Meet Joe — Owner of Big Island Jeep Rental
​
Aloha, I’m Joe — or as a lot of folks now call me, Big Island Joe.
​
I came to the Big Island from Omaha, Nebraska in 2017 looking for a fresh start — and found way more than I expected. The lava fields, the sunsets, the people… this island just felt like home from the moment I landed. It wasn’t long before I bought my first Jeep, and what started as a personal passion quickly turned into something much bigger.
​
Today, I’m proud to say Big Island Jeep Rental is the ORIGINAL Jeep rental business on the island — and it all started with one 4x4 and a whole lot of love for off-road adventure.
​
I’ve always loved working with people. Whether it’s helping plan a dream road trip, swapping favorite beach spots, or just talking adventures, this business has never been about renting cars — it’s about sharing joy and making people smile. If I can help someone have a smoother, happier, more unforgettable time on this island, then I’ve done my job.

And yes — if there’s a duck on your dash, that’s no accident. Because… we're Jeep people.
