When Your Guest Summons The Volcano...

“I’m not leaving until I see Kīlauea in full lava goddess mode.”

She said that. The volcano's 25th episode erupted the next day.

Kīlauea, one of the most active volcanoes in the world, began erupting again from its summit caldera inside Halemaʻumaʻu Crater—visible from designated areas within Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park.

This most recent eruption was brief but dramatic: lava fountains, glowing vents, and gas plumes visible from miles away.

It was the kind of moment you can’t plan—but you can be ready for.
